Hi there! My name is Jolie Starr. I'm a December 2017 graduate from the University of Miami (FL) with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. I was born and raised in Houston, TX, and that is where my love of sports began. I played competitive volleyball from the age of 10 all the way through high school. I was blessed to be born into a huge sports family - more specifically, a basketball-crazed family! You can find us in front of a TV cheering on our Houston Rockets and Kansas Jayhawks, or at NRG Stadium hoping the next Houston Texans quarterback is (finally) the QB of the future. Being around sports 24/7 as a young girl not only shaped my character, but also my career path. Sports are unapologetically my life, and it is my passion to share the sports stories of others!
